First up is Bre, a Keto Coach for Women (@ketocoachbre on TikTok), who walks us through her two-year post-pregnancy weight loss journey. She explains in her TikTok video, “I’ve made more progress in the last month than I’ve ever had in all of time, and I want to share exactly what I’ve been doing.” In addition to tracking her food, Bre has found a fitness routine that works best for her body. She gave up the hot Pilates, which was really tiring on her body and didn’t produce the results she wanted, to lift weights.

“If exercising is best for your body because you enjoy it better, then you know you’ll do it, or you feel like you’re burning calories more efficiently, or because you feel better in your joints, etc., find a training that is best for your body and your personal situation will reap the greatest rewards,” The Nutrition Twins explain. “Personalization is always the key. It’s important to realize that just because someone else lost 10 pounds jumping rope, it might not be right for you, for example, maybe it’s causing you knee pain or you just don’t like it and so you end up stop when it comes time to. And you might love swimming laps and your body might really respond well, while someone else might feel like they’re losing weight really slowly when they swim for exercise.”

If you want to lose weight, strength training and weight lifting are essential. This form of exercise helps you sculpt lean muscle mass and gets your metabolism moving more efficiently so you continue to burn calories when you’re at rest. TikToker @desschnell agrees strength training is the name of the name and captioned his video, “I lost about 10 pounds in a month! The results I’ve seen from strength training have far surpassed any other which I have experienced when it comes to weight loss. I see huge differences in such a short amount of time.”

Incorporating just 30 minutes of strength training into your day can be beneficial if you’ve never lifted weights before, as your body will have a quick response to it no matter your age, The Nutrition Twins explain. “People see the benefits and lose fat even if they start lifting weights in their 80s. And for people who have always lifted weights, the consistency of daily strength training of 30 minutes a day can really stimulate tissue growth. lean muscle, which is much more metabolically active than fat, so it burns calories and helps speed up your metabolism,” they add. Just make sure you don’t put too much strain on the same part of your body day after day.

Next, consider switching up your same old fitness routine for an incline treadmill workout, specifically Lauren Giraldo’s “12-3-30” workout. TikTok user @elimiaxwilde noted in this TikTok video that doing incline work on a treadmill was a productive way to lose weight and keep it off. All you need to do is take a cue from @emiliaxwildeset the treadmill with a 12% incline and 3.2 speed, and do your cardio for 30 minutes, jogging at the end.

“In addition to burning calories and getting in shape by walking, the incline makes this workout much more challenging and beneficial for weight loss,” explain The Nutrition Twins. “It will help get your heart pumping and in better shape, and walking on a 12 percent incline will burn about twice as many calories as walking with no incline.”

Last but not least, it’s the best time to kick your cardio to the max! TikTok user @seanmapp shares in this video that upping her cardio, reducing her calorie intake, and lifting weights played a huge part in losing 10 pounds in less than a month while still building muscle. After all, cardio and strength training go hand in hand!

“[Bumping up your cardio] it’s generally a surefire way to melt off the pounds,” The Nutrition Twins tell us. Simply burning extra calories by consistently doing additional cardio helps the body respond more quickly. The good news is that no matter what your favorite cardio exercise is, doing more of them increases the rate at which you burn fat.”
